The Gulf Stream
The Florida Current, measured by submarine cable since 1982, feeds the Gulf Stream and then the North Atlantic Drift. Particle speed follows the latest measured transport.

The Florida Current is the Gulf Stream branch flowing through the Florida Straits; NOAA AOML estimates its transport from the voltage induced in a submarine telephone cable between West Palm Beach and Grand Bahama, calibrated by ship sections (Meinen et al., 2010). Yearly files are read from the AOML directory (latest version of each year), NaN rows discarded.
The meridional overturning circulation (AMOC) measured by the RAPID 26°N array is distributed as NetCDF and not imported yet.
