Method and sources

The monthly sunspot number (SILSO V2.0 redistributed by SWPC) and the 10.7 cm radio flux (sfu, Penticton observatory) are plotted as published. The forecast is the SWPC one (NOAA/NASA/ISES panel): central value and high/low bounds, shown here as ± half range; each import replaces the previous forecast and no predicted point is merged with observations.

The daily F10.7 flux comes from the OMNI2 files (NASA/GSFC, 1963–); monthly and yearly means are computed on the server from the imported points, without smoothing.

Reading these data
A cycle forecast is not a measurement; the SWPC bounds are not statistical confidence intervals. The latest observed months are provisional. The “smoothed sunspot number” used to date maxima is not shown here.
