Method and sources
Daily reports of the REMS weather station (Centro de Astrobiología, Spain) on Curiosity, published by NASA and JPL: pressure, air temperatures at 1.6 m and ground temperatures, solar longitude Ls. Each sol (Martian day of 24 h 39 min) is dated with the corresponding Earth day.
Reading these data
A single, moving station: the rover has climbed several hundred metres and changed surroundings (crater floor, then the slopes of Mount Sharp), which alters pressure and temperatures independently of the climate. Wind and humidity are no longer published; some sols are missing (rover asleep, solar conjunctions). A few isolated outliers (spikes to −100 °C) are left as published.
